The 93 Made Games Oztag Team fought back from a 4-2 deficit deep in the second half to pull off the underdog win of the century against the Eastern Force to win the team's first ever Oztag championship. This is how they did it... 93 Made Games ended the regular season in second place only having lost 2 of its 12 games. This meant that 93 Made Games found themselves pairing off against the Botany Rams in the semi-finals. 93 Made Games won that game by 9 tries to 8 putting the team through to the decider against the then undefeated Eastern Force. The Eastern Force took the early lead in the grand final and the teams went to the break with only 1 try separating them, with Julius Haraszta and Jess Moffett contributing to 93 Made Games tally. Solid defence from both teams kept the score locked at 3-2 with only 10 minutes left on the clock when the Eastern Force's right centre made a timely intercept and ran unopposed to touchdown, pushing their lead out to 4-2. Knowing that they had nothing to lose if they let the misfortune of an intercept get to them, 93 Made Games kept their heads up and refocussed on the prize. Over the next 10 minutes the team played brilliant football by restraining all of their opponent's efforts to get out of their half. This allowed the team to use the ball in prime field position and score 2 well-constructed tries - one superb back-line play by Paul Burgess and Rhiannon Moffett which left the Eastern Force dazed and a great solo effort by Jess Moffett right on the try line - to tie the scores at 4-a-piece. With full-time and possibly golden point extra time looming, 93 Made Games had one more set to clinch the game. The team moved up and spread the ball to captain Jeremy Moffett. With a one-two-swivel, Jeremy burst through the line, leaving the Eastern Force chasers in his wake. As he crossed the line, he planted the ball so hard into the turf that it almost made it all of the way to China. Only thirty seconds were left on the clock when 93 Made Games found themselves ahead for the first time in the match. The clock counted down with the Eastern Force receiving possession from the subsequent kick-off but they were unable to affect the scoreline with 93 Made Games' defence remaining intact. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... game over! 93 Made Games won by 5 tries to 4. The players embraced each other and celebrated one of the closest games in Oztag history. What made the win even sweeter was that their opponent was the only team in all divisions not to have lost a match... that is, before the grand final. Oztag football is the latest craze in recreational sport that now has competitions running all over Australia, with the largest areas located in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra.
